Toscano’s will be offering three special peanut butter desserts to celebrate this special day. Peanut butter pie, chocolate peanut butter cheesecake, and peanut butter bombe can ease your stress for a mere $3 each.
The National Peanut Board claims that Americans spend almost $800 million a year on peanut butter, and two peanut farmers have been elected President of the U.S. (Thomas Jefferson and Jimmy Carter). And here’s one more fun fact for those who remember TV’s Mr. Ed, the talking horse (1958-66): peanut butter was the secret to Ed’s talent! Spreading peanut butter inside the horse’s mouth created a natural talking movement every time the animal moved his sticky jaws. (You’ve always wondered about that, haven’t you?)
