Opera Night
Featuring Cavelleria Rusticano and Pagliacci
April 11, 2010
“Cav and Pag” are two short operas that are frequently performed together. They both take place near the turn of the 20th century and feature the everyday life of countryside Sicilians, as opposed to royalty or deity. Cavelleria Rusticano is written by Pietro Mascagni (based on a play by Giovanni Verga), and Pagliacci is by Ruggero Leoncavallo.
